It's so hard to believe that no one has reviewed this amazing palette yet! Well, i'm happy to be the first!
Let me first say that I in no way shape or form am a make-up expert, just someone who really likes to experiment. The majority of my products are Bare Escentuals (with the exception of the AMAZING Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Aruba but I digress) and therefore most of my eyeshadows have been from BE. While BE has great pigmentation and lasts a pretty long time, it tends to be messy to apply and can be rather unruly for beginners So i started looking for an alternative.
One of the first things I purchased was Urban Decay's "Naked" palette but I can't say I was as thrilled with it as the rest of the online world seemed to be, so the search continued. Then, I stumbled upon LORAC. Lorac isn't a name that you hear that often, but it sure should be! As soon as I got "Unzipped" I was immediately impressed with the size of each eyeshadow color This thing will last me forever, but i'd even buy a second one just because I love it so much! Each color is USEABLE yes this is a huge deal! Don't you feel like most palettes come with one or two shades you use and the rest just sit untouched? Well No fear of that with Unzipped!
I could go on and on about this palette, or you could buy it and fall in love yourself!

My husband bought me this palette as a gift, usually im pretty picky with makeup but a lady at sephora recommended it. Well im sure glad she did, Its amazing, I have the UD naked and naked 2 and this beats both of those. The colors are so creamy and luminescent its amazing! I used every color so far and no complaints. The primer is wonderful, i like it more than UD primer potion. It makes my blue eyes pop like nothing else ive used before. Get it!! You wont regret it, I promise!

Gorgeous colors that blend easily and go together in every combination.
I appreciate that there are many matte choices as well as some shimmer and sparkle.
It's great for everyday looks.
I also use it wet as eyeliner and with the primer it stays put!
Honest reviews on LORAC Unzipped Palette
I have several (ok, more than several)shadow pallets from MAC, Urban Decay and other top brands, but this is the one I reach for the most often and always take it with me when I travel. The packaging is very slim and has a mirror in it, which is nice for travel, though I might have preferred a more expensive feeling case like some of Lorac's older palettes. All of the colors are really useful, unlike many pallets that have "fun colors" or glittery/sparkly ones thrown in among the more practical shadows. This palette has 4 matte colors and 6 with a shimmery finish so you can create a lot of looks for both the office/day wear, or a more dramatic look for a night out. There is no glitter at all in these shadows, which is a good thing since most adults don't wear glitter except for special occasions. This is part of the reason I love this palette more than Urban Decay's Naked and Naked II; I can and do actually all use these shadows everyday. The color payoff is very good, though the matte shades are not quite as easy to build up color as the shimmery ones, and as expected, the matte shades aren't as silky smooth compared to the shimmery ones. This is a very minor critique since compared to other brands Lorac usually comes out on top in colors, blendability, staying power, and minimal fall out. I highly recommend this palette, and if you are considering this vs either Naked palette I'd say go with Lorac!

I was so happy when I opened this palette, the colors seem to be just what I wanted. However, once on they transform. All these colors turn pink or orange-y when applied on my fair to my pale skin. The highlight color is very yellow and chalky looking on. I get fallout when applying these lightly, and they crease like crazy without primer. In order to use them, I will have to experiment with colored eye primers, I guess.
