I've been using primarily the eyeshadow and brow brushes from this set for about a month and I am happy with the way they work. They don't shed hairs and they are easy to handle. They are very soft and I think the way they apply makeup is nice. I'm not sure what the advantage of a more expensive set would be, but I am not a makeup expert.
