I bought the 53mm and loved it and had to buy the 43mm. I have fine curly hair and I live in AZ (super dry). I stress my hair a lot styling with round brushes (Had always used boar bristle brushes). I am almost 50 & I color my hair every 5 weeks.... a lot of stress. My hairstylist started using these brushes and I noticed when he styled my hair it took a shorter amount of time and it seemed to pull less. Bought them for myself and I was right; the bristle are short so they grab better and go thru the hair instead tangling & the ceramic core heats up and helps dry faster. Also did seem to add some shine. I know these are pricey, but worth it and it takes less time & struggle to tame my crazy curly locks. I also buy the Macadamia nut oil and put a little on my hair as well; this has helped with frizzies in dry climate and adds more shine. I never touch my old brushes; they have been retired.
