I read the reviews both on amazon and sephora, and was forewarned about the color and thickness. Marajuca oil really has improved my fine lines, so I got the foundation going for a shade lighter than normal. I am a yellow based medium tone, so I purchased the light-medium. I pumped one pea sized amount and started on my t zone and worked it over my face with a sponge. I followed with the tarte Amazonian clay powder and was impressed. My skin was dewy, but not oily. I then spent five hours at an evening event...when I came home and looked in the mirror, my makeup stayed put. No caked foundation in my smile lines or little eye wrinkles! The trick is don't use a large amount and sponge it on. Set it with a light dusting of the clay powder, and you won't have to worry for the rest of your evening.

I wanted to like this product more than I did since it's vegan and more natural. Definitely went on cakey and seemed to make my skin drier throughout the day, so I am now mixing it with moisturizer, which does help. It does lastI don't know if I'd say 12 hours, but it lasts through most of the work day. I hate the pump, too much comes out and you can't choose how much foundation you would actually like to use, which is why I prefer foundations with twist-off lids. I will use it up because it does provide good coverage and a modicum of SPF protection, but once I'm out, I won't buy another one.

I love Tarte foundation and have used several, but this is truly my new fav. I can't even see it on after wearing it all day. It is so perfect for my skin type. I know some said that it is heavy, but I think it is right texture. I have used foundation that is too thin and this is perfect balance. I will be thrilled to continue using and hopefully, the formula will not change.

Kinda oily but I do love this product. Works great with the Tarte powder. I love that it is made with all natural ingredients. Color is a perfect match.
