It's very hard to find the 5/8" barrel iron and I was delighted when I saw this one from Helen of Troy. However, after using it, I find the tip is way too small and I am constantly burning my fingers. The contour handle does not work for me either, I have arthritis in my hands.

This is my second Helen of Troy curling iron. The first one I used everyday for a year before one of the springs broke, but it still can be used. The clasp is very tight and the iron gets hot.

I got this for my daughter and it does not get hot enough. It never gets hot enough to put curl in our hair. A disappointment.
