I've being using mineral makeup for a while now. First it was neutrogena, then I changed to the famous Bareminerals and I was okay with it until I became pregnant (2010), and aware of their ugly preservative. After that I began my quest for natural mineral makeup (2011), which lots of companies claim they have it, but the fine print shows the contrary.

So I went to the Skin Deep Data trusting in their cosmetic number scale and found Rejuva. Rejuva is an all natural FDA approved lab, non micro particles, parabens, preservative, mica free etc... All the great stuff, of course. I bought four travel size products along with their "super deal" of brushes and a small bamboo tray. Anyways, it came at a total of sixty plus dollars. Well, Rejuva made my skin unhappy it tingle a lot that it made me wanted to scratch, but I really tried not to because I have acne prone skin. Not only that, there is a need to reapply like every hour or so, because it does not stay on skin, poor coverage, and I got lots of big pimples. Bummer.

So again I started yet another quest for makeup (2012) and I found IQ minerals just by typing "natural makeup," at amazon.

I was skeptical about IQ minerals, because of the price and my last experience, but those reviews gave me a positive gut feeling. Well, my skin is happy now, no pimples, no tingling, no reapplying, great coverage, no ugly weird stuff,, awesome price, just what I was looking for. Also, a little powder get me all the coverage i need, but there is a need to buff with brush to make powder finer.

I knew I could never afford Bare Minerals or BareEscentuals, so when I saw this I had to give it a try. I know a lot of people who are dead set on the name brand gave this stuff bad reviews, but I suggest you ignore them like you do people who insist StarBucks is better than every other coffee. IQ Natural is a great product.

Despite being a sample size, I've had this kit for 5 months, using it 2-4 days a week, and there's still a ton left. I doubt I'll ever use up all the eyeshadow and blush.

The brushes are all great except the main one, which does shed a tad now and then. It's not a big deal and I do have another brush I can use.

The colors of the kit run a bit lighter than you might expect, so I'd suggest going a shade darker. I always buy the palest concealer and powder I can get, but this kit is a tad light even for me.

On a side note, the dark eyeshadow makes a fantastic eyeliner that won't smudge or give you raccoon eyes! I apply it with the angle brush and I'm done.

The rest of the makeup applies easily. I'd never used minerals before and had the technique down in a day. The tiny containers can be messy if you're not careful, but you'll get the hang of not dusting it everywhere. I love that once it's on my skin feels amazing, and even through sweat and tears it stays put. a 95 degree GA day didn't muss this makeup! it washes clean with cleanser and my skin actually seems in better condition since I started using it.

I could go on and on about how great it is, but I don't want to sound like a spokesperson. I do love it though, and highly recommend it.

I have used Bare Minerals for years. I used it sparingly due to try and make it last longer. When I came across IQ I was skeptical, but hopeful at the same time. I had read all the reviews and wasn't quite sure what to think. So, I decided the IQ product was cheap enough to give it a try. I recently bought Bare Minerals for my teen daughter, and it was very expensive for just a few of the products. The two samples I ordered for my daughter and I, and it was cheaper for the two samples than it was for the products from Bare Minerals.

When we received the IQ products they were neatly packed, and there was not powder all over the place like previous customers have reported. The other thing we noticed was that the brushes were really soft. The other reviews made it sound as if they were made out of stiff plastic. The brushes are very nice in my opinion.

When my daughter and I started using the products we used them the same way that we used the Bare Minerals products, and the IQ products worked the same way. I am very satisfied with the IQ products, and so is my daughter. We will be able to afford the IQ products much better than Bare Minerals. Also, I used to get eye infections from the Bare Minerals eyeliner every time I used it, and the mineral veil would make my skin itch. I haven' t had any problems with the IQ products. I' m happy to say that I'm now an IQ fan. I would highly recommend products from IQ.

Be warned: Most of these are very shimmery. I did like a few of the items, but the rest are just too shiny for me. Even the blush is shimmery. I felt like a fairy. If you're not into shimmer, you should probably try something else.
