I use the Revlon Spotlight no-pinch Revlon SpotLight Eyelash Curler, LED Technology or the Pink Mini Lash Curler NU Mini Eyelash Curler Cosmetic Beauty Tool Pink and they both work great since the sides don't grab the corners of your eye (the mini is for travel and I chose pink because you can see your eyelashes against it I would rather the Revlon one was a lighter color too but the light helps). After a lot of practice I can now use ANY eyelash curler even the metal one from the dollar store (there are people who will tell you a $20 eyelash curler is better and that will make it easier to curl your lashes NO WAY!!!). I still like the no-pinch one best just because I'm clumsy and while you can still pinch yourself it's less likely with this model.
The secret is (in my opinion) not squeezing too hard that is what makes your lashes into an L shape. You have to get as close as you possibly can to your eyelid (very difficult) to get a good curl. Usually I hold it firmly (not too tight!) for 6 to 8 seconds and then let it out a little farther from the eyelid and press again for two seconds. That helps to create more of a curve than an L. It takes a LOT of practice and using the 10x mirror really showed me what I was actually doing to my eyelashes!
After curling I use the Japonesque Precision Lash Curler to pick up any I missed on the edges (usually the outer edge). I LOVE THIS CURLER! It is no different from any other curler if you use it wrong it will make weird shapes out of your lashes (I've done that many times!). With practice and care (if you are in a hurry skip curling your lashes or be content with sub par results) you will look years younger just by curling your lashes. The outer corner of my eyelashes stick straight down and catch the lower lashes and even poke me to the point I was pulling them out! This precision lash curler has saved me! I can catch those lashes on the edges and make them conform.
I now use Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara, Jumbo Lash, Black Organics 7353 after reading the ingredients on my regular mascara (yuck!) but if you don't care about that any quality mascara will do. Put on 2 or 3 coats to keep your lashes curled. You need to put your mascara on fairly soon after curling to set it. I don't recommend curling lashes with mascara on them (unless it's a fashion emergency!).
Good Luck!

I'm not trying to be rude-I can only assume the reviews that are less than 4 stars are from people whom don't understand its purpose. This is only for your corner lashes and any missed lashes AFTER you've curled your lashes with a regular eyelash curler. I love it. It doesn't pinch and gets in tight to my corners. If you get bent lashes you're pressing to hard. A quick fix for this is to move the curler out a bit on the lash and close again for 3 seconds. It will give you a nice curl. Only close it for 3 seconds at a time and you can do that as many times as you like. Pressing hard for more than 3 seconds can damage or pull out your lashes. Eyelashes are not like hair. If you pull them out they can take up to a year to grow back if they grow back at all. One last tip, the rubber side is the top of the curler and should be placed on the top of your lashes not the bottom. You'll love this product!Best Deals on JAPONESQUE Precision Lash Curler
My eyelashes and short and coarse and tuck under my eyelids, due to mild entropion. With this curler, I am able to get to the exact spots that my full-sized eyelash curler can't get to.Honest reviews on JAPONESQUE Precision Lash Curler
I use this eyelash curler everyday to curl my eyelashes, instead of a regular eyelash curler. My eyelashes are very flat, point downwards, and don't curl easily. I find that using the precision curler to curl in smaller sections works better for me, and this one works great. I don't have a lot of experience with these things, but I can definitely say I get the best results with this curler. I've tried the regular Japonesque curler. Works well on one eye and not the other. Maybe it's operator error!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for JAPONESQUE Precision Lash Curler
Nothing really "curls" my lashes. I have really short straight lashes. Everything just makes them "bent" which isn't a look I'm going for.I had really high hopes for this. But these dont even "bend" my lashes. it really doesn't do anything at all. Lashes remain straight.
