This foundation is amazing!! I have very sensitive, fair skin and this foundation didn't irritate my face at all! It is very smooth and silky, yet it covers any flaws or under-eye circles very well.. Better than any foundation I have tried before. It also looks incredibly natural in photos, I wore it on my wedding day and it lasted all day long without needing any touch-ups. I have fallen in love with smashbox and especially this foundation! I would recommend this to anyone.

I used to use Cover FX Natural FX Water Based Foundation SPF 15 E40 Peach Taupe, which applied smoothly and evenly and lasted throughout my workday. However, I found the Cover FX to rub off on clothing and to sometimes feel heavy so I started looking at alternatives. I think I like Smashbox's High Definition product more than the Cover FX Natural. The Smashbox product lasts a full workday, applies smoothly, and leaves the skin looking natural. I typically have problems finding a foundation that does not lead to breakouts. The Smashbox product is nonirritating. The longevity of the product is comparable to other brands; I've gotten about ten weeks out of a 1 oz bottle. I will note that the user should expect to shake the product; I frequently encounter separation.

I have tried many liquid foundations since I started wearing makeup. I prefer the liquid because I have dry skin. My problem has been that although I have dark hair and black eyebrows I am very fair, (with freckles.) Even the fairest shades in other brands tended to either be to white (I'm fair not a ghost!) or they would oxidize especially along my chinline and I'd look like I was wearing a mask. In Smashbox I buy the Fair 0 and have never EVER had this problem until the verrry end of the bottle when it is a few months old. I love how it goes on, it does cover some of my freckles although it is not a very heavy foundation so many still show through, but that's ok because I don't like feeling like I'm wearing a heap of makeup. A little goes a long way so I am able to make this foundation last long enough to warrant the price tag (although I would love it if it came down in price!) The other thing I like is my skin is sensitive and some makeups that say they are hypoallergenic still irritate my face. This one does not. Also in photos I don't looked washed out or reflective like with some liquid foundations, especially if you extend a little bit of the makeup beyond your chinline.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the price, I'm a college student, and to be honest $40 is still $40 I could spend somewhere else.

I had purchased at a Sephora store, and really liked the product then. I discovered that I could buy through Amazon, and save myself a trip to the store. It came quickly, and it was just what I wanted after my old foundation ran out. Thanks for meeting my expectations! This foundation is the best I've ever used because it is light and smooth.

I wasn't happy with the current foundation I was using. The Smashbox price point was in my budget. I needed a water based product and this performed well. I liked the coverage and my oily skin wasn't breaking out from it. The color worked too.

My complaint is that the last 1/3 of the bottle wouldn't pump out. I had to give up using it and toss it out. So, I would have repurchaed had that not happened.
