Before you read on the most important thing to remember is to go one shade lighter than your "natural" color.. I have dark brown hair and the medium was more than dark enough. I needed a color filler just for the gray of my side burns that seems to turn gray days after I apply permanent color. This is perfect except for the application. The applicator is shaped like one you use for mascara but it applies in one small clump. I smoothed it out with my fingers and the coverage was very natural. Of course I had brown "dye" all over my fingers but it washed off with soap and water very easily. The next time I used a square 2 by 2 inch cotton pad and it smoothed everything out perfectly. I am very happy with this, the inconvenience of applying it is very small compared to the desired result. I would not go back to the colored crayons after purchasing this. I would not recommend this for large areas of roots.

A tiny too sticky for my taste. I thin it out. Doesn't stain my skin or scalp. I should have gone lighter on the color. Only good for small areas. Especially good for those nasty little strands next to your ears.

Just use a hairdryer for a minute or so and it's fully set. A very little seems to go a long way and, once dried, it doesn't easily rub off.

I use this on my hair-line around my face, to cover the grey & blend well with my wigs. This color is perfect for my light to medium brown wigs. It covers the grey very well. Also, this color did NOT rub off on my pillow case. Even a little perspiration under my wig did NOT make the color run or transfer to my wig.

There were no instructions with this Lt.Brown Greyfree, but my Ash Brown Greyfree did have abreviated instructions on the tube. I found the full instructions on their website, so I'm passing this along to y'all. Hope it helps.

How to apply: Greyfree is best applied to dry hair. For best results apply very sparingly. A small amount of product is all that is needed to cover even the most resistant gray hair. Gently brush & roll color wand from root to end until blended. Allow to dry naturally or use hair dryer. Brush & style hair as normal. All styling products & styling tools may be used before & after applying Greyfree. No special brushes or combs are needed for application. To remove, simply shampoo out.

I love this product. It is the perfect color to keep my gray part from showing the last few weeks before coloring my hair. I don't like the applicator (which pulls up my hair), but the product is the best (and I've tried several).
