Ever since my cousin introduced me to this product, I haven't used any other brands. This honestly works best. It works well with the hair color and it doesn't damage and dry hair like the rest do. It covers the grey also.

I have used 3 versions of Satin hair developer: CG (cover grey), regular and this semi. They all seem to make the color 'permanent.' Maybe the semi indeed fades faster and washes out with fewer shampoos, but I haven't noticed that with my hair.

I also have not noticed whether my hair is less damaged with the semi; not that the other versions damaged my hair at all.

I have not noticed any difference between the three versions of Satin hair color developer so why not use the semi, in case it is indeed less harsh on the hair?
