Purchased this for my teenage daughter as a present. I was initially concerned that it would be poor quality, since the cost was much less than other similar products. Reviews were good, so I took the plunge and ordered.

My daughter loves this product. She has used the more expensive brands, and she says this is just as good (and she is currently in her teenage picky faze LOL).

When researching these facial cleansers, I noticed that some of the others had comments that you couldn't press too hard, or the brush would stop spinning. Not with this beauty. I tried my best to stop the brush by pressing with my hand, and the darn thing kept going. Pretty impressive.

The included brushes are soft, but get the job done.

The only possible minus I have found (debateable) is that this uses 4 AA batteries, and does not have a rechargeable battery built in. However, my experience with rechargeable batteries included in products lately has been that they have been of poor quality and tend to die after about a year, so this may be a blessing in disguise. Not sure how long batteries last in this thing, but my daughter has been using it every day for 2 weeks, and the batteries are still going strong. So far, so good. She's also used it in the shower, and it's held up so far to water exposure.

One other thing I had to interact with toilet tree's customer service because when I ordered, there was a promotion for a free travel mirror when you purchase 2 toilet tree products. For some reason, the promotion didn't take, and I was charged for the mirror.

I contacted customer service, received a response within an hour and a half, and was refunded the cost of the mirror. Customer service is important to me, so I wanted to include my experience in this review. I would rate the company's customer service as excellent, based on my experience.

I received this as a giveaway item and I just HAD to review it. This product is just as good if not better than a Clairsonic. I have used it every night since receiving it. It fits perfectly into my child sized hands, the 3 brushes (body, soft bristle and face brush) and even the pumice stone attachment works great. The pumice stone attachment, I just wish was a bit bigger because it is FANTASTIC. My fiance thought that I paid at least 60+ for this. He wants one as well and he just uses a cloth on his face LOL This is a must buy. Price is awesome. Save yourself a few hundred bucks and get this one. It works just as well.

I loved, loved, loved this product. I loved the way it cleaned my face, and I loved the body brush (I never had a chance to use the pumice stone). It works as well as the Clarisonic several of my friends have, with one exception. After less than a month, it stopped working. I was hoping it was just the batteries, but when I put new ones in, it still did not work. The on/off button broke. I have to push it really hard to get it to turn on (even my husband had a hard time pushing it hard enough), and hold it down if I want it to stay on. If I let up, it turns off (and I have to push it hard enough to keep it on it literally hurts my finger). I am returning it to Amazon. I will update my rating if I get a refund (and will probably try it again if I get a refund in the hopes I just had a bad one). The product is great, but I really would expect it to work for longer than a month. If I have to spend $35 every month, then I am better off paying the money for the Clarisonic that lasts (all of my friends that have the Clarisonic have had it at least a year with no problems).

UPDATE: The customer service is FANTASTIC, and it looks like the company really stands behind their product. I received an email from the company the very next day and they are sending me a new one to replace the one that broke. So amazing since I had not even had a chance to return the one to Amazon yet. I will update later.

UPDATE: I have updated my rating form a 2-star to 5-star; I love the product, and the customer service itself is enough to win my business over & over. I received a replacement with postage to return the one that broke so the company could look into it. That tells me the company really stands behind their product. I am very pleased, especially since they contacted me before I even had a chance to contact them or return the item to Amazon. Really amazing in this day & age. Thank you ToiletTree!!

Honest reviews on Water-Resistant Professional Skin Care Face and Body Brush System

I'm pleased to be able to review the Professional Skin Care System by ToiletTree. It arrived two weeks ago and I have used it every day.

Like many others, I was interested in a Clarisonic (Mia or Mia 2) but just could not justify spending the money. The Clarisonic is said to work on about 90% of the population. What if I were part of the 10% that wasn't helped by it?? I just couldn't spend over $100 on something that *may* not work. But I really wanted to try a skin brush because I have had several friends who talked about how much it helped their skin.

I did extensive research on various skin brushes before choosing this one. I chose it because:

1. It has a very affordable price.

2. It had excellent reviews on Amazon

3. It is a US company

4. The company seems very committed to customer service.

I am very pleased with both the product and the results I've seen on my skin!

First, I will review the product:

It arrived promptly and in a sturdy, small box. It came with three brushes and a pumice stone attachment. The brushes rotate (they do not vibrate or use sonic technology, like the Clarisonic). It uses four AA batteries. The battery compartment uses a coin to twist it into lock position. The construction seems solid. It is water resistant but I don't like to leave it in the shower. I want it to completely dry in between uses. To clean it, I touch it on a bar of soap while it is rotating, then hold it on my palm to let the soap scrub between the bristle, then rinse it in water. It rinses clean if I do that.

Now I will review the results on my skin:

I am very happy with the results so far! Thankfully, I am part of the 90% that benefits from using a skin brush. I have only tried the "sensitive" brush head, but it cleans my skin well and doesn't feel too soft or too harsh. I've used it every day for 1-2 minutes and my skin has not had any negative effects. My skin feels smoother and looks brighter after using it. I have acne-prone skin and my acne has been healing faster. It exfoliates the blemishes and they appear less red. They also are smaller after being cleansed, and dry out faster. Once the outer layer of dry skin has been removed with the brush, my skin absorbs acne medicine, serum, and moisturizer so much better. I have to use much less product. The acne medicine seems to absorb and work better.

There are few face products that I would consider to be "game-changers" but this is one of them! My skin isn't perfect but it is MUCH improved, and I only wish this tool had been around when I was a teenager and in my younger, dating years. It would have helped my skin so much! (Luckily my husband fell in love with me anyway acne and all). But I'm glad to have found the skin cleansing brush now.

If you are wondering about purchasing one, I recommend giving it a try! I have never used a Clarisonic so I don't know if it works as well. But I do know is that the ToiletTree model has worked for me. I'm so glad I found it! It is a good product at a very affordable price. I'm a believer!

Update (July, 2013)

The original batteries that came with the unit lasted about 3 months with everyday use. I continue to use this every night before bed and I love the results. I replaced the head after 3 months as well. I unreservedly recommend this product!

I was really set on getting the Olay cleansing system but after research and checking reviews, I got this set instead. I'm glad I did!

So the set comes with 2 facial brushsensitive and normal. I tried the normal brush first but it turned out to be too rough on my skin. The sensitive one is perfect! After a week of use, the black heads on my nose (that I've never been able to get rid of since puberty) is almost gone! I'm so happy about that. And my pores have shrunk tremendously. My skin is softer and my facial lotion seems to soak in a lot better. A few of my age spots also seems lighter.

The pumice stone brush works fine. I use it on my heels right after the shower and they scrubbed the dead skin off pretty well.

The body brush was a disappointment. It's too soft for me. My exfoliating glove works better than that brush. The normal face brush would be perfect as a body brush but it's too small! It would take forever to use that all over your body. But I do use it on rough areas such as my elbows and knees. I also use it on parts of my body with stretch marks. I'm hoping with continued exfoliation, stretch mark cream, and body oil, they will start to soften. And I have to say, I do see a slight improvement, especially on my arms. They are beginning to blend into my skin tone and not stand out as much.

The handle itself is sturdy. I didn't expect it to be that big but I'm happy with the size. And I love that it's waterproof. Overall, it's a really good set. I would recommend it to anyone.
