I TOTALLY disagree with the review about how this didn't work for weak nailed, prior acrylic users. I am so sorry this reviewer had this experience. :(
I have worn acrylics for over 12 years because I HAD too. My nails have always been SO weak and flimsy. They would peel, rip and crack right down to the skin until they were red and bleeding. It would hurt to do ANYTHING that involved using the tips of my fingers. I have tried many times to take off my acrylics, in order to save money, but they always revert back to this painful state within a couple of days.
Enter Gelish. I had my Acrylics professional SOAKED off, not filed off or ripped off like some nail places do, then they applied the Gelish manicure. I can't believe how well it has done. The ONLY rips I have, are after a week and a half, and they were rips that were ALREADY present when they put the polish on. Gelish protected my nails from splitting or cracking further on those three nails for a WEEK!!! The other nails, that didn't have any splits at the time of the Gelish application are going STRONG! For the first time IN MY LIFE, my natural nail has grown over the tip of my finger!!! Also, there has been NO chipping in the polish, and I am on week 2 right now. :)
I have bought everything I need in order to do my own Gelish Manicure, and am waiting for my stuff to arrive so that I can cut down these split nails, I will even have to cut down the good nails, as they are TOO LONG for my taste!! How funny is that! I would recommend Gelish to ANY weak nailed person. Maybe this reviewer didn't have the gel put on properly? Also, they have a product called Structure Gel. It's meant to go on before the color, and adds an additional layer of strength. I bought that as well, even though it wasn't applied during my professional manicure.
Read on line how Gelish is SUPPOSED to be applied, and find a salon that will DO IT RIGHT. A lot of places out there cut corners. It's a shame. Good luck!!! :)

Don't be fooled by how dark the sample color looks this is very transparent. I actually like it that way, because it looks wonderful with a layer of Vegas nights over it. The color is kind of like a very transparent golden brown onion skin it has warm tones that give your nails just a hint of color. Then the layer of Vegas Nights jazzes it up. I was looking for a sheer nude color to do American manicures. Initially the color looks good, however in certain lighting I noticed a hint of yellow which made my nails look unhealthy. I applied 3 coats.
