I am purchasing this now for the third time I love this brush I am just a little rough on my luggage when traveling lost one, broke one. It is wood however and very sturdy. I use this for eyeshadow in the crease, as well as softening pencil eyeliner. The first one I had for two years and it held up great, I wash it with Mac's brush wash specifically designed for this but the sales clerk mentioned that baby shampoo also works well on all their brushes. I will say, I think a high quality brush such as this one makes a difference in over-all application.
