Review of Seche Vite Professional Refill Size 4oz
When Creative Nail discontinued it's top.that i used for 16 yrs i was devastated. I searched for a replacement and decide to try this. It is very thick which i like but has a tendency to peal.My favorite topcoat and polish quick dry. The is a great bargain. The standard bottle 1/2 oz runs about $7.00; but this comes with a 4 oz bottle, and a 1/2 oz bottle with a funnel for $18.

I have used other Laura Mercier Make up and been extremely pleased this mascara is the BEST I have ever used does not clump and stays on all day long and into the evening hours. You need to remove it with regular make-up remover. The wand makes each and every lash longer than other mascara I have used in the past this is a keeper item for me!!! 5+ Stars with this mascara!!Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara Black
I have tried to use other mascara, and they do not compare to Laura Mercier. It lengthens, it does NOT cake,it adds drama to the eyes, very true to color.AWESOME.I cannot use anything else, won't use anything else!

I have never actually written a review about a product before, but I am so in love with this mascara! I have been searching all my life for a mascara like this stuff. When I use it with my eyelash curler, you'd think I have falsies on. I love it so much, I don't think I'll ever need another brand. And no, this didn't smudge on me all day, and I have make up on from 8am to 9pm.
My lashes look long and full, and it doesnt cake on like some mascaras do.

I've been using this for months and i love it! The other reviewer said it still smudged, but mine NEVER EVER smudge. No matter how wet my face get, it looks and stays beautiful all day! Love this mascara! I have very fine and short eyelashes, and it does lengthen them. It doesn't add very much volume though, so I'll stick to my CoverGirl "Falsies" mascara for that. But for the price you can't beat this, it is much better than my overpriced $25 Too Faced mascara!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof Mascara
Love the fact that it actually provides volume and extends your nAtural lashes. I don't even need to use an eye lash curler with this product. I does not clump and looks great! Definitely a must for a great night out. The more applications you do the thicker and fuller they become. Just ensure to use a eyelash comb if you apply more than two coats. RevitaLash Eyelash ConditionerBRAND New, Sealed.
I was using the "old" formulation of Jan Marini Eyelash Conditioner. It really improved my short, sparse, light lashes. I actually grew an extra row of lashes behind my original lashes, and it filled in spots where I had lost lashes due to eye surgery. An amazing product.
I recently purchased the new formula that Jan Marini has put on the market to replace the "old." It does nothing, nothing, nothing! I was puzzled, so I actually looked up each ingredient on the box. They were all some type of conditioner. None of the ingredients had anything to do with lash growth.
So, that explains it. The old formula contained an pharmaceutical ingredient (for glaucoma), that has a side effect of darkening and growing eyelashes. Marini did not have permission to use it, and it was seized and pulled off the market.
I bought the new formula, certain that it was true to Marini's claim that it would grow longer, darker, thicker lashes. I have been using it for six weeks, and really feel ripped off. It does not work!
I personally recommend that you do not waste your money on this new formula, unless your goal is to have softer lashes. It does not support lash growth of any kind.
Revitalsh has also re-formulated, but it is getting rave reviews. I think I'll put my money on that one! Do not buy this new Jan Marini!
Update 3/2009--my review, and I suspect others as well, was for the original Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner-NOT the new "Marini Lash" pictured above. I can't speak for the new one; the original was fantastic, but was discontined. Dermatologists carry a new prescription product by Allergan, but it is extremely expensive. Hopefully there will be more options down the road.
I ended up trying this out while working at a wellness center. I decided to be the guinea pig and we decided to note the changes. After 3 weeks of using this product nightly, we noticed that my lashes were getting fuller. I actually saw a new row of lashes sprouting. I was soooo excited that I tried to use this product in the morning and in the nightime one day... Big Mistake! I got a rash on my upper lids for a day. DO NOT USE MORE THAN RECOMMENDED!
I went back to my normal regime and love the way my eyelashes looked. No more false eyelashes for me and this tube lasted me a year.
You only need to apply to the upper lid like liquid liner because in the night, the product melts and get ditributed to the lower lashes as well.
My cousin used this product to grow back her eyebrows after a rigorous plucking session.
I will never be w/out this product!

I am a skincare guru. I've tried a lot of products with miracle claims. Most don't work and are a waste of money. I have never written a review but I believe this product deserves my time. I don't have long lashes and never have. I have thought about lash extensions, but the results are costly & temporary. I have dyed my lashes (had a reaction, all but 3 fell out). Lashes falling out is nothing new to me either. So with nothing to loose (except $120+) I purchased Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash Conditoner. Within one week, I noticed less eyelash shedding. Within three weeks, I observed virtually no shedding. Then we moved and I absentmindedly packed the eyelash conditoner. Within the next two weeks many of my lashes fell out and I had bald spots throughout. To say the least I was dissapointed and discouraged. I was sure I had bought another product with false claims. I unpacked and started to use the product again (with no expectations). The same results as the first time appeared (no more lashes falling out). Then after a month they began to look thicker, then longer. Now at two months I am amazed at the transformation. With mascara they look fake (which is a good thing). Today, I am purchasing brown mascara to tone down the dramatic lashes and another tube of Jan Marini. I didn't think this would work--or at least not live up to the hype, but it is absolutely amazing. My natural lashes were blonde, sparse, thin, and short. I didn't feel comfortable leaving the house without carefully applied eyeliner and mascara, and I'm not particularly vain. Enter Jan Marini: after three weeks of nightly use, I could clearly see my lashes becoming thicker, and there were simply lots more of them. Where there used to be one "row", now there were layers starting to come in. The continued growth has been gradual but exciting. Now, at the completion of six weeks, my lashes are significantly longer, thicker, and I don't need liner to define the lash line. They are, however, still blonde, so I need mascara to show them off. I found that the texture of the lashes has also changed slightly, and a light mascara product (consistency, not color) works best. Dying the lashes would also give the desired effect. I still can't believe the results I've achieved in a few short weeks. Just be careful not to get the product in the eyes when applying, since there is obviously something potent in the formula and it hasn't been around long enough to determine long-term effects. I apply it like a liquid liner, being sure to get it right along the base of the lashes. A lighted magnifying mirror (the kind that sits on a table) is very helpful both for application and for monitoring progress.Update 3/2009--my review, and I suspect others as well, was for the original Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner-NOT the new "Marini Lash" pictured above. I am an avid false eyelash user. I have dark, short eyelashes and love the effect of having long, thick lashes. I contemplated getting extensions, but didn't want the costly hassel of going back every 3 months to reapply and touch up.I ended up trying this out while working at a wellness center. I purchased this brush set at Ulta probably six months ago and in all honesty, I use at least one of these brushes every single time I put on makeup (5-6 times per week). The brushes are great quality. The bristles are super soft and they're synthetic so they don't soak up products and are especially great at applying any creamy products (cream eye shadows, concealer, etc). I wash mine 2-3 times per week and they don't shed at all and have kept their shapes beautifully.
I find the base shadow and the crease brushes to be absolutely essential to my cosmetics routine. The base shadow brush is similar to the MAC 217, but slightly smaller, which I love. It is so useful! And while I rarely use the crease brush on my crease, I use it all the time as well. I use the crease brush to apply/blend cream products. I use it on cream eyeshadows, cream eye bases, eye primers, concealers, etc. I use the accent brush less often, but it is great for any type of detailed application. When I do need and angled brush, I prefer the Real Techniques brush to far more expensive brushes from MAC and Sephora. The pixel point brush is one that I use very rarely only because I use eye liners with built in applicators, but again, if you needed a precision brush, it would do nicely.
All in all, these brushes are a GREAT deal. A single MAC brush would cost more than all 5 of these brushes and in my experience, not hold up as well. I love these brushes and I really wish Amazon would restock this line so I could purchase some more brushes.
These are well constructed brushes, all synthetic and vegan friendly. They come in a wonderful holder that serves as a stand, and quite simply I couldn't be without them.
Give yourself a treat and get these.and your makeup application will improve beyond imagination. A bargain at twice the price so my fave buy of this year.
There are several brushes I've not seen before, including a teeny detail brush, which I love, because I tend to be more subtle with my eyeshadow. I also use it for creating effects like age spots for stage makeup. The larger brush is great for blending.

Ladies, you'll be happy you bought these.Review of SHANY Cosmetics Pink Matters Nail Accessories Organizer Makeup Case
I have been looking for a nail organizer for a while, and I am glad I went with this one. Some of the highlights:
Quality is extremely high. The build is nothing at all like Caboodles or other drugstore finds.
The dividers are customizable you have to assemble them yourself, so you could easily leave one of the veritcal pieces off, thereby creating larger rectangles, rather than squares.
All of my current polishes fit nicely (OPI, Sephora, Nails Inc, China Glaze, Finger Paints) but I don't think that Butter London will.
The bottom section is nice and roomy, including room for my 16oz acetone.
The only real drawbacks in my opinion are that the case is heavy (due to the quality an even trade IMO), the little pockets aren't really useful for my supplies, and I'm not a fan of pink. If the lining had been turquoise, it would have been perfect. Maybe they will make a new one, that has turquoise, and I can get that just in time to start getting in to nail stamping ...

Honestly I felt a little ridiculous spending $40 on something just to hold my nail polish but I can now say with a straight face that this was a great investment. My first thought when I was opening the box for this was "wow, it's quite a bit heavier than I expected" which was a good thing in my mind as it meant this wasn't simply an expensive plastic Caboodle-style case. On the contrary, this is a well-made and seemingly durable case that holds way more nail polish than I expected. All but my Butter polishes fit nicely into the slots, but the slots can be adjusted to accommodate larger bottles if you want. I just stashed the Butter bottles in the neat little drawer compartment, which also holds files, cuticle pushers/trimmers, clippers, etc. very nicely with plenty of room to spare. The case I received has one slight different than what is in the pictures. The photos show lipsticks being held in the elastic bands next to the mirror but the elastics in my case were barely big enough to hold a sample size Clinique lip gloss. No big deal to me though. Now that I know this case is of such high quality I'll be buying the Shany makeup train case for all of my other cosmetics. This is well worth the money and I have every confidence it will hold up for a long time.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for SHANY Cosmetics Pink Matters Nail Accessories Organizer Makeup Case

We purchased this even before our daughter was born. It is a very cute set and now when she is here, I can also attest that it works well. The brush is good size and soft, and works great to comb the tricky, silky newborn hair. The small comb comes handy for brushing out the cradle cap flakes. We're happy with it the only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it is a bit pricey. But hey, it is very cute and very girly, which made it worth it for me.
I own every baby brush available from Target, Amazon, and other random baby boutiques I've encountered along the way, and this is the only one that really brushes my baby's hair well. All the others just don't grip it well enough to brush it properly, or I spend forever trying to brush it, which of course is impossible with a baby. Even the other Ambassador brush available on Amazon (the wooden one with a smaller head) doesn't do as good of a job on my baby's hair, although it does much better than its counterparts. And my baby's hair isn't super thick in my opinion, but it isn't baby fine either. It has some curl and body to it, and after a good night's sleep she often wakes up looking like Lyle Lovett. Not so much after I get ahold of it with this comb and brush, and of course a little bit of water. I remember having the exact same issue with my first baby 11 years ago with regard to finding a good brush, although her hair was just thick and straight with no curl. I don't recall what I used with her, but I know this brush would have worked wonders for her as well. And regarding how the brush looks in person it's exactly as depicted in the picture: a pink, plastic brush. I think it's cute, and I definitely don't see what the other reviewers saw who gave this brush such negative reviews based on how cheap they think it looks. To be clear, I'm by no means after an heirloom quality brush. I just want something that works, and works well. This set does exactly that. I like the comb a lot too small, fine-toothed, and also very effective for thicker baby hair. I have the white set as well, which I love just as much, and I'm about to order two more sets because it is not fun to be without a good baby brush when I need one.

First off, I think this might be the first Amazon review I've written despite the fact that I buy almost everything on Amazon and have for years, and I religiously read all reviews before making any purchase, large or small. I always have the best intentions and want to leave reviews for the products I buy, but with two kids, one a baby and the other an 11-yo with massive amounts of homework every evening, in addition to a full-time job and a husband, I just don't have the time. I wanted to be sure to leave a review for this brush and comb set however, because I feel the reviews don't adequately give credit where it's due in this case, and if I hadn't made the purchase myself despite the poor reviews I'd still be miserable with every other baby brush I've ever tried to use.I own every baby brush available from Target, Amazon, and other random baby boutiques I've encountered along the way, and this is the only one that really brushes my baby's hair well. The comb is so small and, well a waste, I won't even comment on it more. The brush is nice, soft and a great shape. The handle is easy to hold and use. This set is OK, I guess. I bought it because I thought it was made of wood, but it is not any wood I am familiar with, unless plastic now grows on trees. Other than that, the brush is nicesoft-ish bristles (the set I paid $1.69 for is just as soft), and a decent weight (not too light and flimsy feeling). The comb feels too sharp to use on a baby's tender scalp. It is not an heirloom quality set by any stretch of the imagination, but it does not have an heirloom price, either. Still, I did expect something a little bit nicer for $13. Maybe my disappointment is my own fault.Discount Prestige Costmetics Liquid Eye Liner, LE-13 Big Teal, 0.1 oz (3

I always wear liquid eyeliner and these are as good as any I have ever used. Like another reviewer commented, some have better application brushes than others. I don't know why that is so, but it is. If I don't like the application brush from one color, I wait until I use up another color and just trade brushes. Pretty simple solution for such an inexpensive product. I decided to give it a try and now I actually prefer it over my RT brush. Yes mine was kind of stiff but nowhere like a broom.. that would be painful? That being said, you need a light hand when applying bronzer as it can pick up quite a bit of product. It's not super dense but it's also not super thin. I think it has the right density as it applies just a light dusting (with a light hand) which is exactly what I need to contour my fair skin. It is also easy to build up coverage for those who want darker lines. I can't tell you all how much I love the shape. My RT is round which makes it hard for precise application. This brush is flat and tapered so I just run it horizontally across my cheek and get the perfect contour with no extra blending. As far as shedding goes, I haven't noticed any at all. I am sure with continued use it won't take long, but as of now-ZERO. For $1, what do you expect? Buy it in-store!! This also allows you to feel them for yourself. Anyone who has ever bought E.L.F. products knows they can be hit or miss. For me, this is a definite hit and I actually have two of these brushes now. I searched foreverrrr for a brush that would give me the contour I wanted and now use this brush everyday. Even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE my RT brushes, the contouring brush couldn't compete.Best Deals on e.l.f. Cosmetics Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush
I've never used a blush/bronzing brush before and I finally decided that it was time to buy one! It makes it so much easier to apply the products. The only not so great thing is that the brush does shed sometimes! I would definitely buy this product again!Honest reviews on e.l.f. Cosmetics Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush
This brush is amazing it spreads your make up on so easily. One of the best products out there for such a low price. I would definitely recommend itFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for e.l.f. Cosmetics Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush
I own several elf brushes with the soft black hairs and I'm finding that the ones (like this one) with the red hairs are very coarse. They're not even necessarily any stiffer, but they just feel kinda like sandpaper on your face. They put down product like they're supposed to, but every time I use it I say "DANG, that's coarse!" I switched brushes so I can stop saying that every morning. I might pitch this one.Thursday, January 30, 2014
Reviews of real Techniques Core Collection Set
Very pleased with these brushes. Have used Mac, Inglot, Manicare, Bella Pierre, Avon and Napoleon Perdis brushes previously. Have more or less left them all in the brush bag and am using this set exclusively.
These brushes are soft on the skin but the hair itself is firm enough that you can do quite precise work without losing the shape and hold of the brush hair. Because the hairs are synthetic, the brushes are versatile and can be used on all sorts of products. They work well for the task listed on the side but work equally well in other ways. I used the eye contour brush to apply eye corrector (Bobbi Brown) and concealer with a great result. The buffing and foundation brushes do a great job and the countour brush is also great for blush application.
Nice light handles and the brushes have gone through two cleaning cycles (Sapoderm soap + isopropyl alcohol disinfectant) without any loss of quality.
To be completely honest, it seems that the differences are in the design, colors and price. Ecotools has a very simple/basic design, while Real Techniques looks much fancier (especially its brushes' handles). I would buy Real Techniques as a present it looks good.
Apart from that, I actually find Ecotools to be of about the same quality and softness or even better.
Well, the other difference is the price (in most cases, you can find Ecotools brushes for about half price of the Real Techniques ones).
UPDATE:
I wash my brushes regularly the Ecotools ones have remained the same, however the Real Techniques' handles have deteorated. The black parts of the handles became somehow wrinkly (the golden part stayed intact). Expected them to be more durable due as they are more expensive than Ecotools.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend these brushes. They're affordable and great quality! Especially the stippling and buffing brush. I plan to expand my collection. Also, if you get any of the traveling sets, you can use the holder to dry your brushes. Be sure to have your brush hairs pointing downward. Genius design!
**UPDATE** It has been one year since I purchased this set. Still in same form as day 1 condition despite my inclination to deep clean each brush after each use. Well worth the investment. I saw that another reviewer preferred EcoTools over Real Techniques. I would have to differ in opinion. I have purchased an EcoTools travel set & bronzing brush about a year ago as well -the durability is not the same. The metal cuff binding the hair to the bamboo shafts came off on multiple brushes; I have not purchased any EcoTool product since.
1. The pixel detailer brush: this is meant to be as concealer brush. however, its really tiny, so I use it for lips and also for gel eyeliners, when i dont want a perfect line.
2. The Pointed foundation brush: This one has a triangular shape, and its flat: This one I use for concealer around my nose for example. Never for foundation.
3. The contour brush: I love this one, specially for the size. Its meant to be for contouring, and it fits perfectly in the hollow of the cheeks. However, my face is kinda small, so must of all the blush brushes are big for the surface I want to deal with, so this has doubled as blush brush, with incredible results.
4. The Buffing Brush: i didnt expected to love this one but its my favorite so far. My foundation has never looked this great, and I havent changed it. Its great for powders too, but as I said, I use it as my prime foundation brush.
I would definitely buy this again, though I just would want the buffing and the contour brush, its worth every penny.

Both Ecotools and Real Techniques come from the same company Paris Presents Incorporated, and both use soft, synthetic hair (a good thing no cruelty involved). To be completely honest, it seems that the differences are in the design, colors and price. I have used these brushes a lot since I've received them and they have not shed one hair yet. The brush heads don't have a strange odor unlike my other natural hair Sigma brushes. I think this has something to do with Real Techniques using synthetic hair instead.Overall, I would absolutely recommend these brushes. They're affordable and great quality! Im a fan of Samantha's tutorials on youtube, so as soon as I was able to buy this brushes I did, most of all because Ive seen that a lot of other makeup artists use them as well. They are affordable and soft, easy to clean, some of them have a lineal base so they stand up on vanities and desks. This particular set has 4 brushes, all with the same color (which corresponds to face) and their bristles are synthetic so they can work powders, creams, liquids and minerals:1. The pixel detailer brush: this is meant to be as concealer brush. however, its really tiny, so I use it for lips and also for gel eyeliners, when i dont want a perfect line.

I have owned and used many different brands of brushes from top brands like MAC to cheap brands in CVS that look like a deal. I did my homework on these brushes & I was expecting something great & I definitely was surprised because my expectations were actually surpassed. They're even better than I though they would be. These brushes put my foundation on absolutely flawlessly. I get compliments on my make-up since I have been using these brushes!! They're super soft & I have been using them everyday & also washing them everyday & not once single hair has fallen out of them, so the quality is really up there with the professional style brushes. I want to buy another set & keep it in its packaging so that when these do eventually need to be replaced, I'll have my back-ups ready to go. I want the entire "Real Techniques" Brush collection!Review of Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer

The Mini is great for carrying around in your purse or for travel. However, the small size makes it harder to pinch/tweeze. You end up moving your hand further down towards the tips and if you have larger hands your fingers might partially obstruct your view of what you're trying to tweeze.
The tube the mini comes in is more stable at this size, don't crack or split as easily and the tops don't pop out like the regular-sized ones do. So your Mini will stay in its tube and not scratch up other items in your makeup bag.
Overall I prefer the Petite size ones (the size between the Regular and the Mini) which still handle as well as the regular-sized ones.
Tweezerman has a great reputation and a high price. The Mini Slant makes Tweezerman tweezers affordable, and they work extremely well. No misaligned or dull edges here. And the price is reasonable for a high quality pair of tweezers + they donate to the environment with every purchase of these "go green" tweezers. I am on my third pair now lost one, and I'm buying a second to have one for home and one for travel. At this price I don't have to worry so much about losing them (face it, tweezers are tiny and easy to misplace) and I can still have the precision, quality, and guarantee of the larger tweezerman while helping the environment. Plus, I like the color and it pops out in my bag or on my counter.

Go Green Mini Slant have been my favorite tweezers since I found them a few years ago. I've owned Tweezerman slant edge tweezers in the past, and chose to buy them again because they are sharp and keep the edge for a long time. They are guaranteed for life, but the hassle and shipping and handling costs for return just make it easier to buy new ones. I have a pair of small ones for travel and a regular size for regular home use. There are better tweezers out there, but at a much greater price.Honest reviews on Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer
I don't know what it is with tweezers and scissors, I seem to lose them all over the place. In between ordering this Mini set from Amazon and actually receiving the package, I found one of my full-sized Tweezerman tweezers and have been using that the last few days. (I pluck stray eyebrows every morning while doing my makeup, so they don't get out of hand.) When the Mini arrived just now, I went upstairs to test it out, and unfortunately it just doesn't grip as well as the bigger pair. Several times on fine blonde hairs I had to really fight to get this one to grip it, and after about ten hairs, I went back to the full-sized and got all the stray hairs. So, this is pretty much a waste of my money; by the time I send it back to Amazon, the refund would be minimal, so I guess I'll keep it for emergencies such as the next time the big pair gets lost!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer
I got these tweezers because I was very happy with my previous tweezerman for many years (but I lost it). When this one arrived it looked just great until I tryed doing my eyebrows. Instead of pulling the hair out, the edges are so sharp that they just pinch the hair off. It has been a great annoyance!!! Only 1 out of every three hairs actually comes out, the rest get pinched off and stay in leaving a short black stump. To even try to pull out the stump again you have to wait till it grows out a bit. Very disapointed!!!!
