I purchased these brushes to use at my make-up studio and to my disappointment the bristles were very hard and did not allow for a smooth application of lipstick.

Since they are robust and somewhat stiff but never lose a bristle, they are ideal for mixing and applying small batches of two-part epoxy resins and dry fillers since the bristles, very much unlike a popsicle stick, actually sweep into the corners of the mixing cup and can get up along the sides too. At ten cents each, I don't have to clean them. Industrial "acid" brushes for cleaning metal parts with solvent were a nightmare compared to these since bristles fell out and they were not soft enough to spread resin out instead of create massive brush marks.
